Fall is Here (for now)

FALL IS HERE

for now

I quite love fall weather. Winter, not so much. But when it's cool, the leaves are changing and there's no snow on the ground: that is my prime. 

When I woke up this morning to check the temperature, I immediate got excited. The high the past few days has been 90 degrees. Ew. So when I say a high of 70, but a cool morning, I negotiated with myself to break out some of my weekend purchases. 

So I actually planned this outfit from the feet up. I have this great new boots that I wanted to get a feel for walking around in since I'm sure they'll be part of my Prague wardrobe. So I decided on those early. I was going to wear jeans to be a bit more casual this Friday, but the pair I just got need to be washed so the colors don't bleed on everything they touch. I decided to go with these black pants because they're comfortable and skinny.

I picked out this green sweater because it's a color I typically don't wear, but looked really good paired with the black pants and boots. Originally I was going to wear a statement necklace with this outfit, but the scarf was staring at me in my closet. As soon as I tried it on there was no turning back. It was perfect. As perfect as the One Direction song released today (it's called Perfect, so I'm hilarious). 

I was originally going to wear my black Kendra Scott earrings with this outfit, but I wore them yesterday (and that's a total no), so I went with my gold diamond silhouette earrings that you can most clearly see in the first picture. It was nice to add a hint of gold to the outfit to bring out some of the gold in my shoes and my purse.

I made a great decision to fully embrace fall today. While this afternoon is warmed up a bit, I'm still comfortable in this outfit. So far it's been a huge hit, so I have no shoppers remorse after spending a few dollars last weekend. Worth every penny! 

And a photo shoot with leaves wouldn't be complete without throwing a few in the air, so to maintain order in the world, you have my favorite picture below.
