Gazebo Glamour

The hardest part was coming up with a caption for this post!

Hi friends! Thanks for hanging in there! I've been wearing clothes these past few weeks, but I have not gotten around to taking some quality shots. They'll come back around.

I also want to mention that I have a new Instagram for this account so you don't have to follow my personal posts while looking for new outfits. Please follow me here or @howtowearastatement.

I am SO ready for fall, I can't even put in words. The fact that it is October and I'm still sweating is a no go for me. I went shopping this past weekend and bought a myriad of blanket scarves, ponchos, sweaters, and all the things I need to be stylish when the temperature drops.

But it Oklahoma it is still 90 degrees. And that makes me sad. I'm trying to show Mother Nature that I'm ready, so with today's outfit, I added some of my favorite little booties so it would be clear.

At my shopping spree I did find this great ribbon tied multi-layered beaded necklace that I have on. It was 50% off at Loft and so I had to buy it. This is one of those days I planned my outfit around the necklace! You can buy this necklace from Loft for an extra 40% off right now if you click here!

I saw this necklace had a lot of potential to wear with a collared shirt as well as a plain white shirt. Because of the heat I decided to pair it with my lightweight flowy t-shirt from Torrid and though it's got the cut out pattern at the bottom, the necklace was a great compliment to it.

Due to the blue in the necklace, I decided navy was the best pant color option that would make the necklace pop more, rather than having a pop of color that would draw attention away. I do have the pale blue pants that would match well, so I'll save that outfit for another day.

To top off the outfit, I added these cute tan wedge booties that are quite comfortable, and headed out to the Gazebo on campus for my photo shoot.
