Black & Gold, Tied Together with a Bow

Happy Friday Friends!

I hope you all had a wonderful week. Thanks for checking out the blog today, and don't forget to follow on instagram @howtowearastatement to get the most up to date postings. You may have missed my How To Pack for Europe in Winter post, so check that out after this!

So yesterday (when I wore this outfit) it marked my 6 month membership to Gwynnie Bee! I'm so happy with this service because it has made all the difference in my wardrobe and making it so I don't get bored with my closet. I'm always finding new things in my closet to go with the items that are shipped to me from GB.

I recently got a new shipment in and this Little Black Dress was EVERYTHING. You know what made me immediately purchase it? Pockets. POCKETS! Honestly, everything these days should have pockets. But this dress just was so cute with the pleats and the sheer panels at the hem.

So after getting this dress, I decided I needed to find a great combination of accessories. I recently had purchased some belts from Torrid and this bow one worked perfectly to go around my waist to add some definition of my curves. The gold of the belt called for something special as far as jewelry.

I had some bow earrings and a matching ring, but in my morning hustle I couldn't find my earrings. I think that actually worked out for the better because I remembered that I had gotten this GORGEOUS gold and pearl necklace from Lilly Pulitzer for Christmas.

I was so excited when I saw it hanging on one of my necklace racks and knew that it would tie it all together. While it is a heavy necklace, it added the perfect amount of statement for the day and didn't clash with the belt.

I think the Black & Gold look is just incredibly classic and really flattering for any body shape. This dress was a great purchase, and I'm glad I've added to my collection of LBDs.

Belt: Torrid
Shoes: Payless

Stay tuned for my much anticipated post about my Europe Trip!
